Can you see them?

I noticed that there are tiny “smiley faces” in the two pictures below.  Can you see them?  🙂 And we move on….on the way to work, I saw a deceased dragonfly.  I couldn’t help it, I had to have a close look.  (is that weird???)  The wings were stunning, and like glass.  RIP little guy…….

I realized something today……

…when I was out for a walk.  I can go by the same place day after day, and there is ALWAYS something different or beautiful to see.  And that I’m so lucky to have strong legs and good eyes, so I can enjoy it all.  Life is good!   Come on along with me….. …I…

Yesterday and Today

I hope you enjoy these photos, taken yesterday in Victoria, and today at my community garden and in (and on the way to) my favorite bird pond.  Yesterday morning I took an early morning walk to Mt. Douglas to see if there were herons there.  There were not…. Mom and I ran some errands in…

Six of them…..

Hi from my Mom’s house in Victoria.  I had QUITE the sight on the ferry ride this morning.  A small pod (we counted 6) of Orkas swam by.  Amazing!  Doesn’t matter if you’ve seen them before, it is still REALLY exciting.  Other shots today include shots from the ferry crossing, from a drive this afternoon,…

Happy Birthday Dennis

It is my husband’s birthday today!  Happy Birthday Dennis!!!  The “out of whack week” has continued, but I do have some photos to share from the last couple of days, and all will settle next week.   They include photos of the baby sugar glider owned by a colleague, my new guppy, Neva (my little…

Out of whack

The last few days have really thrown my normal routine out of whack.  Not necessarily BAD whack, but nonetheless, things haven’t been as they should be.  That said, I managed to get out and take a few photos today. (and have included just a few from yesterday)  HOPEFULLY things are settling down, and normal posts…

First walk of Summer

Happy First Day of Summer to all!  I had a very quick post work walk today.  It seemed to be the walk of bugs, snails, very very angry herons, baby crows, and sunsets.  (I’m also including two shots of the snail and ghost shrimp in my little work aquarium)  Happy Tuesday to all!

Just a few to share

Hi All.  Hope everyone had a good weekend.  Mine has been a bit odd, but ok.  We’ve had some auto issues, the weather wasn’t good, and I spent more time at home than normal.  I went on a cooking bender though, so time wasn’t wasted and our fridge and freezer are well stocked.  I barely…

Shaggy no more!

The highlight of my day?  Getting my hair cut.  HA!  I was looking like a shaggy dog.  Today’s pictures were taken at lunchtime when I watered our garden, and after my haircut when I walked home.  (there were all kinds of things in windows to see) Thank you for sharing my Friday with me.  Have…

Thursday in the ‘hood

I was finally able to go for a walk today.  Yay!  And I saw my first Green Heron ever.  OOOH…..  (I get a little too excited by these things.  LOL)  Come on along with me…..

Just a little out and about

I haven’t gone for any of my usual walks for a couple of days.  Work, and life were priorities.  I have taken a few shots walking back and forth to work though, and a few shots of a community garden that I walked by on my way to meeting a friend.  Enjoy.

Catch up Day!

Happy Monday everyone!  Today’s post contains MAINLY pictures from my day yesterday with my Mom… Deer in the neighborhood…. …an early morning walk at Gordon Point (and a heron that seemed to lose it’s balance.  Whoops) …I saw my first “in the wild” snake.  He was kinda cute….. …I made a new furfriend too (Sorry…
