Walk to Granville Island

Hi from our tablet.  HA! Our laptop likely needs a new hard drive. sigh.   But, that is life! After work tonight I took a walk down to Granville Island.  Still not warm, but spring is indeed here. Come along with me…..after a picture of Peggy.

Still on the tablet

Thank goodness for our tablet. Our laptop gave me a bit of hope today, but no, it has to go for repairs. I’ll still share a few shots from the last couple of days.  The seagull eating the fish was fascinating. Enjoy, and have a good Thursday everyone.

GRRRR …part 2

The good news…..we have a tablet. The bad news…..our laptop has won this battle. We have done everything possible to try to fix it here. No luck and we have to take it for repairs tomorrow. Here are a few photos I took today. Hopefully we will be back up and running tomorrow.

Grr!

Technical difficulties are alive and well here in the land of lens3. Hopefully be back tomorrow….In the meantime, I have a laptop that needs to be thrown off our deck. Just kidding. Sort of!

Weekend Part 2

Yesterday, I took a long walk around my beloved Lost Lagoon, and I also practiced some street photography from our car. (Dennis was driving…trust me, I’m not advocating “drive by shooting” of ANY kind)  Enjoy the shots, and enjoy the week ahead.

Weekend Part 1

Happy Weekend Everyone.  I had a very busy Saturday…here are shots from “part 1”.  Neva had a photoshoot (HA!  So busy!), I went down and volunteered to help with a soil delivery down at our community garden, then went to see the HUMONGOUS heron colony that is back in Stanley Park.  (it really is an…

Finally Friday

It has been a heck of a work week for me.  Bring on the weekend!  I took a quick walk to the bird pond at lunchtime, it was nice to be back.  I saw… …a random heart… …frisky mergansers, and other assorted birds….. …someone else taking photos…. ..spring blooms (the first of the huge magnolias…

Working hard

For the last couple of days, my work has been CRAZY.  One of my bosses is retiring today, isn’t being replaced yet, so we were frantically getting some projects done.  Today though, we took a breath and celebrated her long career with a team lunch.  Here are photos from that, as well as photos of last…

Critters for Tuesday

Most of the day’s photos are of or involve “critters”.    This morning, I saw this hummingbird sitting in the tree by our deck.  And when he moved, his feathers changed colours.  Gorgeous!! Peggy the frog spent the morning “hanging around”.  (I’m still smitten!) Signs of spring on my quick lunchtime walk… Awww!  Wonder what…

Ooops!

I took some lovely photos when I was out with my Mom yesterday.  Well, I’m assuming they may have been lovely….someone forgot to put her memory card into the camera in the morning.  OOPS!  That was a first!  Oh well, we still had a nice day.  I did take a couple of shots of canoodling…

Signs of Spring

Hi from my Mom’s place.  This morning started out with a cloudy, windy, freakin’ cold ferry ride….have I mentioned it was cold???  sigh.  However, as the day wore on, the sun came out.  Still cold, but the sun felt great.  AND….Mom and I saw our first cherry blossoms of spring.  Things are looking up.  Have…

I’m a little smitten…

HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY! I didn’t take many photos today.  It was rainy, but also I ran errands at lunchtime instead of going for a walk.  One of the errands was to buy a few new “residents” for our workplace aquarium.  We were down to one guppy, so cleaned it all out, and added two…
